How to Create Amazon Account?

To create amazon account, first of all you need to open amazon web portal in your browser. Once you are there, you need to hover you mouse pointer on the “Hello, Sign in” tab.

When you hover over your mouse there, a drop down will open as shown in figure below.

You need to click on the “Start Here” link just below the “Sign in” tab as shown in the above figure by arrow mark.

After clicking on “Start Here” link, a new page will open as shown below.

This is the sign up page used to create amazon account. You need to enter the following information in the above amazon sign up form:

1)    Your Name – You may use Captial or Small letters. It doesn’t matter. You can either write your full name or name you want to appear in your amazon page. This is entirely on your choice there is no relation between the name you use to create amazon account and shipping address. You might think that this name should appear at the Shipping address of the amazon. But actually it is not true. So use the name which you love to appear on your brand new amazon account.

2)    Mobile Number – Enter the mobile number. This is important part in creating amzon account. This is because all the relevant shopping related messages or SMS will inbox in you mobile number. But mind that, during checkout process, amazon will ask you to enter the shipping address and mobile number. That mobile number will be used to connect you to deliver you the purchased item. So nothing to worry about, just enter a mobile number which is active.

3)    Email Address – Email address is also important to create amazon account. I personally give importance to this part of process of creating amazon account. This is because; all the information, invoice, promos etc reach at the given email.

4)    Password – It’s your password. It must be at least 6 character. There is nothing like you need to use at least one Capital letter, one special symbol or one numerical value. The only criterion is that it should be a minimum of 6 character long. But it is suggested to keep you password strong for safety purpose. Mind that you password is the key to unlock your amazon account.

You have filled-up the required information to create amazon account till now. So now it’s time to click on “Continue” button.

Once you click on the “Continue” button, a new page will open to verify your mobile number which was entered while filling up the sign up form.

Check you mobile for message from amazon. Open the message and note down the 6 digit OTP (One Time Password). Enter the OTP in the above form and click verify.

If you didn’t receive any OTP, click on “Resend Code” link and check your mobile SMS inbox again. You will find the SMS from amazon and enter the OTP in the above form and click “verify” button.

That’s it. You are done. You are now set to explore the amazing world of amazon having everything you need to have in your life.
